Today’s tip to save money with coupons will explain how to devise a system for finding printable coupons for groceries and household items. It’s easy to save money with coupons, but finding printable grocery coupons and clipping grocery coupons from newspaper coupon inserts can be time consuming if you don’t have a good system.
How to Save Money With Grocery Coupons
To save money with grocery coupons in an easy and organized manner, try the following method for collecting printable coupons and clipped coupons.
- Make a grocery shopping list and a shopping list for any other stores that you’ll be visiting.
- If shopping a store like Target (Target’s weekly sale circular can be viewed online), check the weekly sales online. You don’t need to clip coupons for an item if it’s on sale!
- If you have a coupon insert from the newspaper on-hand, go through in search of grocery coupons, household cleaner coupons and coupons for anything else that’s on your list. If you find coupons for groceries and other shopping list items, put a check mark next to that item on your shopping list.
- Visit printable coupon websites to “clip” printable grocery coupons. As you find a printable grocery coupon for a particular item, put a check mark next to the item on your shopping list.
- Visit the manufacturer’s website to search for printable coupons from the manufacturer. Many product websites include a section for discounts, printable coupons and promotions.
- “Google” the product name and “printable coupons” to search for free printable coupons for groceries and other items on you shopping list for which you still don’t have a coupon. So if you’re searching for a coupon for Swiffer WetJet starter pack, you’ll “Google” something like “printable coupons for Swiffer WetJet starter pack” or “Swiffer WetJet coupons.”
- File the coupons in your coupon organizer so you’ll be sure to have the coupons on-hand when you go grocery shopping! There’s nothing more frustrating than arriving at the grocery store check-out line only to realize that you’ve forgotten your coupons!
Tips for Finding and Using Clipped and Printable Grocery Coupons
In addition, you’ll need to find a store that accepts free printable coupons. Not all stores accept coupons printed from the internet due to problems with counterfeiting. Though it’s important to note that each store varies, so if one WalMart store doesn’t accept printable coupons, that doesn’t necessarily mean that another WalMart store across town will have the same policy.
Also, find a store that accepts competitors’ coupons. If your grocery store accepts competitors’ coupons, it’s possible to find grocery coupons for 50% to 75% of the items on your list just by looking through the newspaper’s coupon inserts.
Using this method of searching for grocery coupons — both printable grocery coupons and clippable coupons for groceries — will take less than 20 minutes for most people, particularly after you become familiarized with the various websites that offer free printable coupons. And the amount of money you can save is significant – you’ll save 40%, 50%, 60% or more on your grocery shopping trip!
